Who are we and what are our tasks?
The Student Council for Cultural Studies (in short: FSR Kuwi) is the student representation of the Faculty of Cultural Studies at the European University Viadrina. The members of the Student Council for Cultural Studies are elected by the students of the Faculty of Cultural Studies and have the task of representing the interests of these students. We are also planning various events throughout the year, to which all students are cordially invited. We thus assume an important function within the student body by enriching university life with events and supporting students with their concerns.
Representation of interests: The Student Council for Cultural Studies is committed to the interests of students within the Faculty of Cultural Studies. If you have questions about the study regulations, examination regulations or other matters, we are entitled to talk to the university administration or the faculty about problems.
Advice: The Student Council for Cultural Sciences advises students on questions relating to their studies and provides assistance, for example in choosing courses, the course of studies or preparing for exams.
Events: We organize events of all kinds throughout the year. Whether it’s boisterous parties, information events on study-related topics or excursions lasting several days. There is nothing we haven’t organized yet. We also have our own small financial budget for the implementation of projects.
Co-determination: The student council for cultural studies can play a role in university policy matters and support students in shaping university life and study conditions.
Coordination: Occasionally, the student council for cultural studies coordinates the cooperation between lecturers and students in order to realize joint projects or events.
